Pinch harmonics are fantastic. Make your electric guitar scream, and learn how to tame the pinch harmonic. Many famous rock and metal guitarists like Zakk Wylde use this technique. This is quite a difficult technique to master - and is certainly more for intermediate guitarists than beginners.
Pinch harmonics are a strumming hand technique. Like artificial harmonics, the harmonic is produced by your picking hand and is applied to notes that you are fretting with your fretboard hand. You will need an electric guitar, amp and plectrum to produce good pinch harmonics.
